I had the privilege to work as the graphic designer on the launch of Shaun White's Whitespace brand in partnership with Backcountry. My role encompassed the full scope of creative design for the brand’s exclusive collection of snowboards, winter gear, and goggles, aiming to capture the essence of Shaun’s legendary career and translate it into a bold new identity for Whitespace. While the overall concept was guided by my art director, my design approach was shaped by various influences, from the brand’s vibe to the visual elements within the apparel itself. A key aspect of my work involved blending multiple images and textures into collage-like compositions, creating a visual narrative for each product offered in the launch. This allowed us to tell a unique story through the design of every piece, reflecting Shaun’s legacy and passion for snowboarding while ensuring that each item felt fresh and connected to the brand. The design work played a pivotal role in the brand's success, positioning Shaun’s Whitespace brand as a key player in the competitive snowboard world. The design elements I contributed to were integral in creating a memorable, high-performance, hype culture look that resonated with consumers. I was responsible for a broad range of design assets, including all web design, email campaigns, social media graphics, paid marketing materials, retail posters, and signage. It was an exciting, multifaceted project that allowed me to touch nearly every aspect of the brand’s visual presence and help it make a lasting impact in the market.
